Privacy policy for Loop & Leap
Last updated: 27 September 2026. This policy is written for parents and carers.
The short version
- We do not collect personal information from children.
- Everything your child does in the app stays on this device.
- There are no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking of any kind.
- Only a parent, behind the parent gate, can change settings, export a project or delete data.
What the app stores on the device
A child profile is a nickname, an age track (Sprouts, Explorers or Makers) and a robot colour. We never ask for a real name, birthdate, photo, school or location.
The app also keeps, on the device only: progress (stars, XP, gears, Brain Gym levels), saved Create projects, and how many minutes were played each day (for the daily limit and the weekly parent report).
What leaves the device
Nothing, unless a parent turns on cloud backup. Cloud backup is off by default and is not yet available in this version. When it arrives it will ask for a parent’s email only, and progress will be encrypted in transit and at rest.
Optional anonymous level statistics (for example how often a level is quit) are switched off in this version. If enabled in a future update they will never include a name, device identifier, advertising identifier, IP address or location.
Voice
Voice guidance uses the speech synthesiser built into your device. The app never records audio and never requests the microphone.
Your controls (parent area)
- View a weekly progress report per child.
- Set a daily limit, quiet hours and a break reminder.
- Change a child’s age track, edit or delete a profile.
- Save a copy of a Create project as a file in the app’s own storage on this device (nothing is sent or shared).
- Delete all data on this device.
Deleting a profile or all data removes it permanently from the device. Deleting all data also removes saved project copies.
Children’s privacy laws
Loop & Leap is designed to comply with COPPA (US), GDPR-K (EU) and Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection: we collect no personal data from children and any parent data is opt-in.
